    Dinner & A Walk Through A Garden

Everyone knows that dinner and a movie is always a good go-to type of date. Covid-19 has made going to the movies a bit difficult, so we put a spin on dinner and movie and changed it to dinner and a walk through a garden!

Going for a walk after dinner together is a great way to deep dive into the conversations you were having during eating. It also makes it “golden hour” when you are exploring the garden.
We went to Freddy Burger’s and then to the Sego Lily Gardens. It was a perfect weekday date, because it didn’t take too long. It is not a hike that takes all day, it is just a nice leisurely walk!

If you can’t make it to a garden, you can take a walk around the neighborhood! It is a good year round type of date, because it’s great in the warm weather of summer and it’s beautiful looking at everyone’s holiday lights in the winter.

You can find out more about the Sego Lily Gardens in Sandy, Utah by looking at their website: http://sego-lily-gardens.edan.iohttp://sego-lily-gardens.edan.io

    Ice Castles

Ice Castles has come a long way since they first started doing it. At the beginning it was small and not as exciting. Now they have ice slides, characters such as Disney’s Frozen Cast show up and there is so much more to see now! It is a little on the pricy side…but in the winter there isn’t much to do in the cold nights.

Ice Castles are in Heber, UT and they tend to get bigger and better every year. You walk through a huge maze like thing made of ice. EVERYWHERE you look and EVERYTHING you tough is ICE! It is way cool to walk through and super pretty to look at. It make for cute pictures, so I suggest going with a group or on a double date at least so you can take photos of each other.

When you buy tickets online they make you pick a time window of when you will be showing up. It helps them regulate how many people go in at a time. There are A LOT of people all over the place when you do get in. It is somewhat hard to get a photo without anyone in it, unless you wait in line at the “Photo Perfect Spots.”

Ice Castles is definitely something I would suggest people do as a winter date night, if you can bare the cold that is. Make sure to look into it this winter!

    Pumpkin Nights

It’s Spooky Season! All I think about all year long is Fall. Fall dates are my favorite kind of dates! Last year was our first year attending Pumpkin Nights in Salt Lake City. It was a fun Fall date night idea!

You walk though a maze like trail and everywhere you look, and I mean everywhere, there are carved pumpkins. Although they are not real pumpkins, they still look cool. They are plastic pumpkins that are still hand carved and lit up, if they did real pumpkins they wouldn’t last the whole time Pumpkin Nights is open. Real pumpkins would start to sag and look gross, not to mention smell gross also…They had fire dancers and food trucks, plenty of hot coco and coffee that you can take on your long stroll. There was a projector movie playing that you could watch while you ate your food, as well. It was all the makings of a perfect Fall/Halloween date. It is very family friendly and not scary. (If you are looking for a scary haunted house I suggest Asylum 49 in Tooele, Utah)

Like I said, it was a fun Fall date night. Worth going to at least once! Even though the pumpkins are not real, the sites are still breathtakingly cool. Every inch and corner in Pumpkin Nights is photo worthy.

The bests time to get tickets is when they first go on sale or when they post about them on their social media accounts: Instagram and Facebook. They give you discount codes that are well worth it throughout the whole time Pumpkin Nights is going on. So if you are interested in going this year or next year, I suggesting giving them a follow!
